Iran’s First Vice President Es’hagh Jahangiri issued a message to veteran Algerian politician congratulating him on his appointment as Prime Minister of Algeria.
“I extend my deep and heartfelt congratulations on your appointment as Prime Minister of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria,” reads Jahangiri’s message to Ahmed Ouyahia.
He expressed hope that, in view of potentials and capacities held by the two countries, the path to development and deepening of relations between the two sides will be paved further for mutual cooperation between Tehran and Algiers to be expanded.
The Iranian official also wished good health and success for Algeria’s newly-appointed PM as well as progress and prosperity for the people of the North African country.
As reported by Reuters, Algeria’s presidency has recalled veteran crisis manager Ahmed Ouyahia as prime minister, a job he first held in the 1990s. Ouyahia, 65, will replace Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who held the job for just three months, said the office of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
